Yesterday I picked up the latest issues of Kyou no Ryouri and Kyou no Ryouri Beginners. These are two Japanese cooking magazines I’ve had a subscription for a couple years now. These magazines are published by NHK – Japanese Broadcasting Corporation. NHK’s television broadcasting service also produces shows with the same titles. The difference between the two is that Kyou no Ryouri Beginners has much simpler recipes than Kyou no Ryouri.
The August 2014 issue of Kyou no Ryouri (KnR) features many summer recipes. The August 2014 KnR Beginners issue features many recipes on using marinades.
